Well, I haven’t had the opportunity to check out the new TD’s in person. But being in the Industry I have heard a lot of peoples opinions on the new UCF bar. Not only have I been talking to people around this college town, but I have also read articles in local news papers and online, seeing what people think.

According to The Central Florida Future, there are a lot of mixed feelings on the new place. Though it is owned by the same guys who own Liquid Cellar, it is a non smoking facility which means it SMELLS GOOD! Shit, who would have thought? Students said that the old Don Pablo’s building is alot newer and the sound system is way better than a lot of other bars around the area. “Its not gross like other local bars” says Christine Zangen.

While cleanliness and a good smelling atmosphere is a great thing, others say that TD’s isn’t all that. “Right now, as a bar alone, it doesn’t have anything that makes you want to go there opposed to anywhere else.” said Jee Shum. Since the bars Grand Opening was on Cinco Do Mayo, could they have dished out all of the magic on that one night? Or will they continue to WOW us? Sure Playboy was there (WOW), but was that $15 cover charge a little too much for some college kids to dish out?

I will have to make a trip out there soon to see how this bar sizes up to the rest of the UCF line up. Until then, I leave my opinion open. What do you guys think!? Take the Poll below.

Nick Hogan is behind bars!

The 17-year-old was sentenced by a judge in Florida on Friday in his tragic car crash case and he will begin serving time immediately.

The Hulkster’s son plead no contest to reckless driving and this is the price he has to pay:

- 5 Years Probation
- 8 Months in Jail
- 500 Hours of community service, no buyout available
- 3 Years of Drivers License suspension
- No alcohol for 5 years
- DUI school completed within the first year of probation
- Paying court costs.

Update: Hogan’s lawyer is saying that “Nick’s happy” with the sentencing.

A year after Miller’s run away success with Miller Chill Anheuser-Busch is coming out with Bud Light Lime. The idea of the cleverly named brew is – and see if you can follow this – Bud Light with lime added to it.

Pretty stunning, right?

I’m a little surprised by this move. AB has seemed reluctant to mess with their flagship beers lately. When they’ve wanted to dabble in “weird beers” they’ve invented brands and sometimes even breweries to carry them. Perhaps the wild success of Chill last summer has given AB a level of comfort with this particular bit of weirdness.

Personally, I plan to pick up a 6 Pack of this new creation this week…what about you guys?

Brooke Hogan may be heading to some college campus in the next season of her VH1 reality show — but it won’t be UCF.

School officials confirmed this afternoon that they turned down a request from producers of the show, which wanted to send the daughter of wrestling great Hulk Hogan around campus for a couple of days … along with six or seven camera guys. School spokesman Grant Heston said the scenario would have been distracting. “Last week was finals, and this week is Commencement,” he said, adding that school officials also just weren’t sure that video from Hogan Knows Best would be such a boffo thing for the school’s reputation.

UCF may have already learned that lesson a couple of years back after the school allowed WB’s short-on-taste-and-viewers reality show, Big Man on Campus, to highlight partying, drinking, touching (and, if memory serves, a minor stabbing) at the Orlando university. Heston stopped short of saying the school regretted Big Man, instead opting to diplomatically suggest that “each experience you have adds to the perception of the one that comes next.”

Oh, and UCF wasn’t alone in turning down Brooke. So said People.com, which said that FSU and USF also politely declined.
