Since the front page has turned into a billboard for the past week I decided to write a blog with quick little tidbits that you might have missed over the past couple of weeks…let’s begin.

- Diplo was in town last week and tore the fucking roof off, if you were there you might have been lucky enough to catch Docta Dawe and myself fist pumping to the amazing set.

- Kaypee turned 21 last Monday, and the only good picture to come out of the night was this picture of Docta Dawe and DEFAME: Orlando.

- Oh and also that night, Docta Dawe and myself both realized that the Crush Kids are still mad about OCC getting Saturday/Thursday Pt. II.

In music news…

- Lil’ Waynes rock album, Rebirth, was officially shelved by Universal Records due to nobody giving a shit about it in the first place.

- MSTRKRFTs new album, Fist of God, apparently leaked 2 weeks ago and Docta Dawe held out on telling me but I just got it a few days ago (thanks Junior Diaz aka Kid Disko aka Full Effekt) and can I just say that some of the tracks are seriously some of the best electro I have ever heard. These guys are breaking the OONTZ OONTZ repetitiveness of a lot of stuff coming out and really going against the grain. One track in particular I cannot stop playing is 1000 Cigarettes. The guitar really makes this song stand out. Well that, and the fact that half way through the beginning, the song obviously catches a fever, and the only remedy that can bring it down is more cowbell.

- Apparently there is an N.W.A. biopic in the works entitled Straight Outta Compton. Dr. Dre and Ice Cube are on board as producers. There is also a RUN-DMC picture being made as well based off the book Tougher Than Leather. (SOHH)

- Asher Roths album art and track listing for his debut album, Asleep in the Bread Aisle, came out today. Album drops on April 20th (get it?).

And finally…

- If you haven’t already noticed, one of Whats2Hot’s strongest promoters has seen the light and is now reppin’ OCC.

That’s about all I have for now. I’m almost half way done with my new mixtape, dLectro, my first mixtape offering in over a year and also my first mixtape outside the genre of Rap, so be on the lookout for that. You might hear a 30 second jingle come out of your phone with someones name come across the screen sometimes or maybe a random number, that noise, means your phone is ringing!

When that happens you’ll want to slide the button UP on your Instinct to ANSWER the call.

Now, perhaps you were taking a shat, shaving your taint, or trying to find a bandana to match your outfit for the evening, in which a “missed call” would occur.

In the occurrence of a missed call, after you’re done putting on your Gucci Bandana, you will hit the “view” button and return the missed call that you received.

Now, I know this may be a new thing for you but its ok, that’s why I posted this tutorial for you. I know all of us might not be a 19 year old girl trying to fuck the DJ but we do our best to get up there on the totem pole.

I hope this clears up some confusion you may have with your high tech device that, according to the people posting on your facebook or myspace, you just can’t seem to figure out how to use.

As some of you may, or may not know, today is our infamous Kaypee’s 21st birthday. Many of you are probably asking yourself the same question  a lot of people seem to be asking which is “she isn’t 21 already?”.

The answer is no. It’s amazing what beauty, a booty and razor sharp game will get you, isn’t it?

Tonight we will be celebrating in only the appropriate way, by going downtown and getting shit-housed. Big Boi from Outkast has a solo album coming out this year (hopefully) entitled Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty. Daddy fat sacks released a teaser single last year with Andre 3000 and Raekwon called “Royal Flush” (get that if you don’t have it) but this song is suppose to be the official first single off the new album…

Big Boi – Ringtone 

Next up is one of my personal favorites, Gucci Mane, with his ‘new’ single “Stoopid”. I put the quotes around new because this track was actually put out by Gucci’s former record label, Big Cat Records (as you’ll hear them say it at the beginning of the track). Gucci is currently signed to Atlantic Records but he broke his contract with Big Cat to do so and lost the rights to all the material he made on their label. Big Cat did not take this lightly and still continues to put out Gucci albums, singles, etc without anything owed to their former signee. He kills it on this track though, and it was produced by the guy I posted the video of making a beat the other day, Zaytoven.

I, dLux, have been putting in a ridiculous amount of work in my ghetto studio in my room. I came across almost 1GB of acapellas on my hard drive and have been having a field day to say the least. This guy is one of the best and most sought-after hip-hop producers in the south right now and one of my favorite producers as well. His most recognizable song to date is probably “Pillz” by Gucci Mane aka the ‘bitch I might be’ song.

This is a video of him constructing an amazing beat. This guy pulls at least $5,000 a beat and still lives in what looks like not too big of a house, fuck yeah.

The rumor started because of a blog posting on SOHH.com, but they were actually saying he SHOULD kill himself for teaming up with these homos and making a track…
